To all of our current and future art students:

As of the Fall 2018 term, our academic calendar will shift from 18 weeks to 16 weeks. When registering for classes, please note that the listed class times will be slightly different to reflect this change. Further more, the majority of art studio classes (8am-4pm) will include a 1/2hr a week online component through canvas. all studio art classes still meet in person but since many have the minimal partial online component, you will need to search our schedule under “all courses”, rather than “in person”. If you are looking for art studio courses in the searchable online course catalog, please be aware that you must select “All Courses” to see our studio classes.

This will be a campus-wide shift so please be aware that all of your classes will reflect the new 16-week schedule. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask your instructors.

Career options include professions engaged in creating works of art. These include artist, painter, sculptor, ceramist, engraver, printmaker, metal smith, illustrator, designer, muralist, and jeweler.

Some careers require an education beyond the associate degree. These include: art critic, art dealer, educator, historian, arts administrator, advertising specialist, computer graphics illustrator, display designer, gallery director, and visual information specialist.
