SPECIALIZED HIGH SCHOOL

ADMISSIONS TEST

Brooklyn Tech administers the Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT) usually in late October for eighth graders, and early November for ninth graders and students with special accommodations.


FALL 2017 SHSAT Schedule

  • 8th Graders: October 21 - 22, 2017
  • 9th Graders: October 29, 2017
  • 8th and 9th Grade Special Accommodations Students (IEP/504/ELL): October 29, 2017 or November 4, 2017
  • Students new to NYC: End of Summer 2018


Admissions tickets are mailed to all public, private and parochial schools and should be available based upon your school's distribution schedule. See your guidance counselor for an admissions ticket. Brooklyn Tech DOES NOT provide admissions tickets to individuals, only to schools directly.

Grade 5 Assessment Test. Free Online GRADE 9 ASSESSMENT TEST Practice & Preparation Tests. (2) Practice SHSAT-style exercises (not full-length practice tests) in each topic and learn techniques to solve various types of problems and time-saving techniques. For instance, a student can do a hundred SHSAT-style exercises just in percentages. (Several more weeks) (3) Do full-length practice tests only after steps (1) and (2).
